The Sharing Space of Chang Qun Group is an influential building to environmental sustainability regarding not only the structure but also the creation of living mobility, group value, and cultural style. After observing local lifestyles, Chang Qun sets “the aesthetics of living”, “cultural heritage”, and “placemaking” as the cores that initiates brand-new living charms and cultural vitality of this satellite city.
The Sharing Space has three floors where Chang Qun Group entirely grasps at every detail of the building and implements the BASIC concept of the brand, which are the five sensations, Belonging, Aesthetics, Safety, Impressive Quality, and Comfort. Consequently, sharing open space as a cultural area for the public to participate and experience the place. The whole building utilized indigenous bamboo from Nantou County to develop the mold, which is the first bamboo-mold construction in Taiwan. Keeping the original quality of the material to leave a warm local impression, which enriches the sensation.
The Sharing Space integrates diverse functions for us to enjoy a cup of coffee on the first floor, appreciate the artworks on the second floor, and relish life on the third floor. Moreover, the atrium in the middle of the building and the multi-angle windows around the area enhance the interactions between artworks and natural environment; hence, regenerating the art creations and extending the viewing sensation abundantly. The Sharing Space attempts cross-industry collaboration to transferring the area from a functional space to a performance stage; this has become a platform for local culture and expects to be a new catalyst to connect with local, citywide, and international media.
Inspired by the daily experience, the three-floor Sharing Space has introduced diversified innovation, such as architecture, art, and culture to deliver the art education widely through cross-ethnic interactions. With the various applications of the second and third floors, the building can remain the space vitality and keep connection and regeneration with contemporary culture, which encourages the return of younger generations and increases local identity. Further, the building will initiate regional renewal, innovation transformation, and community development to become a new cultural spot.
